Enjoy this delectable Sunshine Smoothie, a delightful fusion of luscious persimmons and succulent raspberries. This tantalizing blend not only gratifies your sweet cravings but also provides a revitalizing boost to your immune system.

This is my older recipe from last year when I bought a box of persimmons when they were in season. Although not in Canada of course! We get them most likely from Mexico or Florida, which is actually not that far. Anyway, I also bought some other fruits such as Raspberries, Kiwi, Pomegranate and star fruit. They are all delicious and very healthy fruits, except Star fruit is tasteless, I am sure it tastes better if ripped and picked from the tree, but not if picked green and transported. Nevertheless, it makes lovely smoothie decorations and it also has a very lovely scent. So what I usually do with it is I add it to my water with lemon and Stevia.

Otherwise, I really love persimmons and we get them in two sizes. The larger ones are Hachiya and the smaller ones are Fuyu. You can read more about them HERE. I personally always make smoothies when they are in season between October and until end of the year. They are very sweet, so you don’t need to add any sweetener or banana, because they are also quite dense on their own.

Berries, kiwi, and citrus are the best combination since they add a little bit of sourness that persimmons are lacking. You may also like the TROPICAL SMOOTHIE recipe that I also made last year. Anyway, I hope you like this recipe and you will try it. Oh and let me know if you like persimmons! Thank you so much for visiting and have a wonderful week.
