Sunshine Smoothie is a delicious blend of persimmons with raspberries that will boost your immune system & satisfy your sweet tooth.
This is my older recipe from last year when I bough a box of persimmons when they were in season. Although not in Canada of course! We get them most likely from Mexico or Florida, which is actulay not that far.

Anyway, I also bought some other fruits such as Raspberries, Kiwi, Pomegranate & Star fruit. The are all delicious and very healthy fruits, except Star fruit is tasteless, I am sure it tastes better if ripped and picked from the tree, but not if picked green and transported. Nevertheless, it makes lovely smoothie decoration and it also has a very lovey sent. So what I usually do with it is I add it to my water with lemon and Steevia.

Otherwise, I really love persimmons and we get them in two sizes. The larger ones are Hachiya and the smaller ones are Fuyu. You can read more about them HERE. I personally always make smoothies when they are in season between October until end of the year. They are very sweet, so you don’t need to add any sweetener nor banana, because they are also quite dense on their own.

Berries, kiwi and citrus are the best combination since they add little bit of sourness that persimmons are lacking. You may also like TROPICAL SMOOTHIE recipe that I also made last year. Anyway, I hope you like this recipe and you will try it. Oh and let me know if you like persimmons! Thank you so much for visiting and have a wonderful week.
